Hi! I'm Michael, an overly outspoken theatregoer and aspiring theatrical writer and director. This is the latest in a long line of theatre blogs for those moments when there aren't enough characters on twitter to express your feelings and opinions about the world of West End theatre.
Here you can find my musings and ramblings about theatrical news and events, reviews of the latest productions from off West End stages to regional houses and London theatres, as well as a little bit about me and anything I might be inspired to create. Hope you enjoy!

Transferring from Sheffield, this glorious revival is a brave piece of producing for the current West End that I'd like to see encouraged. A sensational cast surrounds the brilliant Rebecca Trehearn who shines in a supporting role. Doctor Faustus ☆☆☆☆ Jamie Lloyd's epic, modern re-telling of Marlowe's play may leave some audience members confused, but it promises to leave nobody untouched by its overwhelming sensory awe. The Painkiller ☆☆ Some funny delivery from Rob Brydon, a brilliantly hysterical Mark Hadfield and an outstanding physical comedy performance from the legendary Sir Kenneth Branagh salvages what is an innately strange play that doesn't live up to the Branagh theatre season. Miss Atomic Bomb ☆☆☆ A quirky and unusual sense of humour aren't lost on the opening night audience as this daring new show detonates, boasting many first rate west end performances and firecracker choreography. |
